11. funny tweets
@markosm It would be irresponsible not to question Coburn and DeMint whether, they, too, are philanderers. (markos moulitsis)

emptywheel I think we should vote the next C Street extramarital affair--just like Survivor. Candidates? DeMint, Brownback, Coburn.14 minutes ago from web (firedoglake)

KagroX Or perhaps they should take a second look at that fruit tree growing the yard at the C Street house. The one with the snake in it.22 minutes ago from TweetDeck

KagroX So maybe we should add "prayer breakfast" to the euphemism list, like "hiking the Appalachian Trail."

20. Priceless!

Late Update: The suit says Rep. Pickering and Creekmore-Byrd rekindled their relationship while he was a congressman, before and while living at the C-Street facility. The relationship was "completely unknown" by Leisha Pickering, as it occurred in Washington on weekdays, and the congressman would return home to his wife and five children only on weekends.

Gov. BobRiley recalls Bible study group at 'C Street' house
http://www.al.com/news/huntsvilletimes/local.ssf?/base/news/1247649361234610.xml&coll=1&thispage=2

"They had a Bible study there (C Street building) once a week, and I went to their Bible study for years," Riley said. "I don't remember anything that went on there when we were there."

snip

Riley said the congressmen he specifically remembers attending the Bible studies were Sanford and former Reps. Steve Largent, R-Okla; Jim Ryan, R-Kan.; and Bart Stupak, D-Mich.; and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.

He said "10 or 15 people" attended the Bible studies.

Riley said the house is operated by a "Christian group" that he couldn't readily identify.

"The guys who lived there were guys who didn't mess around," he said. "Steve Largent was as good a guy as I've ever met in my life. Jim Ryan - you couldn't make this guy do anything wrong. (Graham's) the same way.

"There was a group up there that was always going out at night. That wasn't these guys. These guys were family-oriented. Mark (Sanford) would have been one I would have said that about."

Riley said the people who donated the house did so for congressmen who "wanted to live in a Christian atmosphere."

poor guy to have such a dreadful memory. Can remember names of people there and that they were great Christian family men but can't remember the name of the group running the house or anything they talked about...
