Christian Fundamentalist Concentration Camps

A gay pre-med student from Arkansas has been "forced" into therapy to cure him of homosexuality.

According to his friends, Bryce Faulkner, 23, was preparing to come out to deeply religious family when his mother discovered emails to his boyfriend, who lives in Wisconsin.

He was then given an ultimatum of being kicked out on the street or going into ex-gay therapy, a controversial "cure" for homosexuality through prayer.

"He called me and was crying uncontrollably saying, 'You should have heard the mean and hateful things they said about me. They made me read out loud passages from the Bible'.

3. He had a choice - those sent to concentration camps do not

Forced implies something more than having to fend for yourself if you don't do something.

6. Please, Bryce, get in touch with the nearest LGBT community center
(likely in Little Rock) and see if they can help.

Please?

7. Fuck that. He can stay at our house in OUR GAY DAUGHTERS ROOM.
Anyone who would kick out of their house their own child for being gay is a total piece of shit. Fuck his parents, he can do better with out them.

8. Why is torture permitted in this country?
You call torture religion and it's ok. I am sick of it. The idea of "religious rights" has gone too far. I hope they don't convince this poor guy to kill himself.

Torture should not be ok in this country. Anyone that would do this to another human being should be put in jail.

I hope he walks away from there. We live in a sick country.

9. The legal term is kidnapping and it is kidnapping.
I don't know how this goes on in America.

And they are "concentration camps" just as you called them.

10. I know it seems hard, but this young man CAN make it on his own. He does not need therapy!
He's 23. He can find a way to live on his own.

If necessary, take a year off from school and work. Save money. Apply for FAFSA.

Going to anti-gay "therapy" is NOT the answer.
