So let me get this straight. The latest Republican meme is...
that the middle class is shrinking and the poor class is suffering because the rich are getting taxed and can't afford their usual luxuries, which are supplied by the middle and poorer classes? Lattes and waxes and buying expensive toys is what makes the economy run? Is that it?

My brain hurts now.

1. WOW! I'm rich, I get waxed while talking on my iPhone and drinking a latte.

2. What's even more pathetic is that the neo-con poor and formerly
middle class are singing this tune for their rich masters.

4. No offense, but that's been their line for a long time. This is the first you've heard of it?
That's what "supply-side" economics is all about.

6. Our local conservative host has been pushing it more than I've heard before
He never said it during the Bush years. Maybe because he didn't want people to notice the middle class was shrinking even then.

It's just that we know the Middle Class shrank incredibly during the Bush years, and I just couldn't believe this guy was trying to blame that on us, as if it just started with this latest recession.

It's Mark Beilling, btw. The guy who sometimes substitutes for Rush.

5. yesterday on NPR some rich woman called in to say she had
to let her gardener and some other staff go. She said that if others like her had to do the same it would really hurt the economy.
