Santoum WAS a member of "the Family"
That explains why Santorum may have tipped off John Ensign.

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2007/09/hillarys-prayer-hillary-clintons-religion-and-politics

"Through all of her years in Washington, Clinton has been an active participant in conservative Bible study and prayer circles that are part of a secretive Capitol Hill group known as the Fellowship. Her collaborations with right-wingers such as Senator Sam Brownback (R-Kan.) and former Senator Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) grow in part from that connection. "A lot of evangelicals would see that as just cynical exploitation," says the Reverend Rob Schenck, a former leader of the militant anti-abortion group Operation Rescue who now ministers to decision makers in Washington. "I don't....there is a real good that is infected in people when they are around Jesus talk, and open Bibles, and prayer.""

1. I guess you'll have to explain it a whole lot better to me.
Because all I'm seeing here is a shot at Hillary.

3. The article was about Hillary
But there have been questions the past couple days about Santorum, who may have been the person at Fox News who tipped off Ensign.

Santorum did what? Ensign lives at the group house.

How does this 'explain' anything?

Did Santorum Tip Off Ensign?
By Zachary Roth - July 10, 2009, 4:26PM

A great nugget we missed from the portion of Doug Hampton's interview that aired last night...

Ever since the appearance last month of the famous letter Hampton wrote to Fox News -- asking for the network's assistance in exposing John Ensign's "relentless pursuit" of Hampton's wife Cindy -- there has been intense speculation that someone at Fox tipped off Ensign to the fact that Hampton was preparing to go public, prompting the Nevada senator to pre-emptively admit to the affair.

And in the interview with Jon Ralston which aired last night, Hampton fingered an unlikely target:

One of the correspondents that is part of Fox News is Rick Santorum. I sent a note to Rick. I begged Rick to call me, to talk to me before, and he didn't. Obviously, in my opinion, I could be wrong, but that would be what I supposed happen. And if I'm wrong, Rick, forgive, but it appears to me how it happened.

Hampton didn't say whether he had ever actually reached the former Pennsylvania senator, who, like Ensign and Sen. Tom Coburn, is a hardcore social conservative.

It's like walking in in the middle of a movie if you miss five minutes of Republican scandals these days. :P

13. Yes
At first, Fox said they got the letter JUST before Ensign went public, but later admitted that was not true. Hampton believes that someone inside Fox (Santorum) tipped off Ensign who then went public in an attempt to put his spin on it and avoid having any more ugly details get out.

"I don't....there is a real good that is infected in people when they are around Jesus talk, and open Bibles, and prayer.""

Infected, as in disease? It does seem to fit their brand of religion. And what is Hillery doing hanging with these people? Didn't Obama do a good enough job vetting her?
