10. I find a bit of humor in the fact that this is a CNN poll
and Imus is on MSNBC.

That being said...Done

11. I Voted 'NO'
Sheesh ... let's just sanitize everything and have everybody apologizing to everyone for anything that just happens to offend anyone.

And, we'd have few politicians left in office if they had to be fired everytime one of them said something stupid.

What a bland, boring country this would be.

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.

(I apologize to any mountains I might have offended and any moles that are on DU that I might have offended.)

13. Just wondering. Have you ever been called vile names because
of your race, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc?

I prefer strong dissent to shutting people up myself, but a radio station is not the government and can, if it is bad for business, fire people who work for them. My preference is to have him shown disgust and condemned by other fellow citizens for his vicious slanders of people who are "different" from him. People SHOULD take a stand against his garbage and call him on it. Free speech is a two way street.

15. Sure I Have ...
... and I can take it.

I don't cry, whine, and try and shut somebody down everytime an idiot calls me a name.

Sure, Imus can be 'called' on what he said if you think he is that important (or he could be totally ignored because he is irrelevant to anything truly meaningful) -- but fired? No way.

16. I guess my real question is if you have been discriminated against
historically because of gender, race, religion etc.

I don't know about you, but I find lots of people who describe those of us who speak out as "whiners" are typically whiners themselves when things get changed around, and say, they don't get admission to a college as easily as they once did historically, or to a profession they they have not been historically shut off from. Things that affect their very lives and livelihood, not some temporary school yard teasing.

And sure Imus can be fired from his job if he loses money for the station as a result of his words. Any of us can.

19. I voted NO.
Too many people are overreacting on this one.

Let's concentrate on Glenn Beck (CNN). He is much worse.

20. I can multi-task, let's get them all out.
There is a rather lengthy list of amoral, offensive bigots on the air.
