To Don Imus - from one "nappy headed ho" to another
Don, Don, Don.

I'm not a regular listener, and just found out about your comments about the black female basketball players.

I just heard a report on NPR, in which columnist Clarence Page had you pledge to stop using disparaging remarks to describe African Americans (http://www.onthemedia.org/yore/transcripts/transcripts_081801_imus.html)

Seems that didn't last long, huh?

I'll make a deal with you: until you do something about your own frizzly locks, how about refraining from talking about other people's hair?

Until you go under the knife and do something about your wrinkled, wizened face, how about refraining from talking about other people's looks?

And I will, in kind, forgive you and pretend as if the whole thing never happened.

I know you won't tho. Just like you lied to Clarence, I expect you to lie to me.

I remember all the bombs you threw at Michael Richards, aka Kramer, when he blew up and went on a racist tirade. Look in the mirror, pal. Richards is the better man. At lease he sought counseling to deal with his racism.

My offer of forgiveness stays open until you do likewise.

4. Ex-cellent, CW!!! Hey, hey, ho, ho, The pig Imus has got to go!

I couldn't believe some of the things I've read about him since this excrement hit the oscillating device. Never watched him but a few times, saw he was a pig, but how the hell has he gotten away with it this long? I never watched Stern much, either, but he seemed to be more about having women in the studio and talking crudely to them, asking them to undress, but they were willing participants (deluded, but willing.) Imus instead insults people not there to give him the kick in the balls he so richly deserves, as I said in an earlier thread about Imus.

Let's hope this is the tipping point.

E-mail MSNBC if you want him gone, people. Otherwise, they may try to negotiate with/marginalize Al Sharpton's protests.

(And, yes, his own locks are nothing to brag about it -- does he ever wash them? I look at him and think "head lice.")

6. Cat, his sidekicks are just as bad, if not worse.

That Bernie is just plain nasty-assed prejudiced and sexist, as is that comedian wannabe that he has on all the time. Whatever good he does for children with cancer is detracted from by this sort of swaggering smallminded hatefulness.

7. Yes, his producer is actually worse
with his comments about minorities.

And to show how behind the times they are, they still go on and on about the all-powerful Clenis. The show needs to be put down.

12. I had never paid any attention to Imus...
After reading his previous comments I can't believe he's still on the air!

Does he have the legal right to spew his sexism and racism? Yes. But, no one should be supporting or sponsoring him on public airwaves.

He's like the elderly, crazy, great-uncle at a family gathering who is still babbling racist and sexist nonsense because he hasn't grown with the times. Except, we can't ignore Imus because he has his own radio and TV show.

16. Imus has also said racist and vile comments about Jews, Arabs,
and made other comments about African Americans....and has done so repeatedly. That's what he does.
this is not a bad example, it is common staple of what Imus is about.

17. Key contact info to call to complain to msnbc.

Allison Gollust, NBC News Communications
Phone: 1-212-664-3220
Email: allison.gollust@nbcuni.com

From this article at msnbc website:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17999196 /

"Allison Gollust, a spokeswoman for MSNBC, said the network considers Imus’ comments “deplorable” and is reviewing the matter."

Points i think we should make:

Imus words are his job. He can say whatever he wants about his intentions, and even if we were to believe him, the fact remains is that he is spreading hate. Time and Time again.

There must be someone better qualified to fill Imus's time slot.
