What is the one thing more frustrating than having your post unrec'd?

Making ravioli noodles. I'm a newbie at it and damn, that shit is hard to handle. Messy too. I'm going to have to mop the floor in the morning, and I bet I could make bread with the mop water after I'm done.

In the end though, I kicked its ass, and we had some TO DIE FOR homemade ravioli tonight. The stuffing was ground sirloin, garlic, ricotta, parmesan, and basil. I sauced the ravioli with Paul Newman's Own after cooking it.

In the interest of giving credit where credit is due, I MUST thank my daughter and The Ms. for their assistance. Without them, we'd have eaten Red Baron pizza once I was frustrated enough to give up on the noodles.

So fucking unrec my posts. I can make ravioli that will make your mouth water. Why should I care?

7. Actually, making the noodles isn't the hardest part, per se. It's

the filling them and then rolling the top layer on and getting it to seal and cut well with that mold thingie.

I have a ravioli maker but have only made it once, it was so aggravating. If I do it again, I'll just use wonton skins folded over.

9. This might sound strange, but I use the tool that pushes screen into the channel on doors and window

screens. It's a little wider than the regular wheel. I've done this three times and have yet to have a ravioli come open during the boil. The hardest part for me is getting the noodles thin enough without tearing them.

I'm beginning to think that the pasta maker I got for my birthday was some kind of cruel joke, but kick it's ass I will, someday.
