Levi Johnston talks about Gov. Palin's resignation

By MARY PEMBERTON, Associated Press Writer Mary Pemberton, Associated Press Writer – 1 hr 28 mins ago

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The former fiance of Gov. Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter says he believes he knows why the Alaska governor is resigning — concerns over money.

Nineteen-year-old Levi Johnston, whose wedding to Bristol Palin was called off earlier this year, says he thinks the governor is resigning over personal finances.

Johnston says he lived with the Palin family from early December to the second week in January. He claims he heard the governor several times say how nice it would be to take advantage of the lucrative deals that were being offered, deals that included a reality show and a book.

Johnston made his comments at a news conference Thursday at his lawyer's office.

34. Oh yes! The Wasilla Hillbillies
It would be as funny as watching Ozzy Osbourne try to make a coherent sentence. Funnier really because she's even worse at it.

16. They did,
that was made public right away by Levi's sister - who strikes me as a very smart young lady - and his mother - the drug dealer - when they went public with the news that Sarah wouldn't let him see his son.

See, Levi's mother getting busted for that oxycontin sales business she had was, in Sarah's opinion, bad for the Palin family image.

Imagine how Tripp will feel - one granny is a failed politician and the other granny is a drug dealer.

Bet the drug dealing granny is a lot more fun.

But, yeah, Levi's settling a score. And I say, GOOD FOR HIM!

Levi Johnston Says He Knows Why Palin Resigned

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) ― The former fiance of Gov. Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter says he thinks he knows why the Alaska governor is resigning -- concerns over money.

snip...
Johnston made his comments at a news conference Thursday at the office of his attorney, Rex Butler.

Johnston came forward, Butler said, because Alaskans want to know why Palin has decided to resign. She made the announcement last Friday.

Johnston also is pursuing his own book deal. He is working as a carpenter while also pursuing a movie deal.

5. I'm not defending Palin in any way, but this kid should shut the fuck up.
If for nothing else but for the welfare of his child, he should just simply shut up. His child is not served well by constant and public animosity between the father and the mother's family. It places the child in a bad situation that could easily be avoided.

He needs to grow the fuck up, and quit trying to make the news.

12. I've got news for you...
...Unless Levi's kid is abducted and placed in another home far, far away, he ain't got a chance anyway. All of Say-rah's children are little more than props to her every whim and the grandkid will serve the same purpose.

That line is probably one of the most profound ever uttered in any film of the last twenty or thirty years. Maybe longer.

It speaks volumes in three words. Fascinating. I'm tickled that you chose that video. Good call....................

25. What makes anybody think he has a clue?
He hasn't been in Palin's inner circle for 6 months. He is only throwing out conjecture. Much as I enjoy hearing the little tidbits he has to share, thinking he has insight into what Sarah is up to is absurd.

Unless, of course, he and Bristol are sneaking off to be together in a hot, abstinence-free tryst away from Sarah's control-freak manipulations. Actually I like that - let's start it up as a rumor.
