George Clooney in earthquake-hit L'Aquila, italy. he'll make a movie there in September.

...and differently from G8 leaders, he met real people, the ones who live in the tents.
just to have a first-hand experience of what it feels like.

he was there with bill murray and former DP leader veltroni, and visited the tent-camp of S.Eusanio first, a place i know - i lived one year in L'Aquila, in 1994 - a middle-age little town, very beautiful. it was.

then he visited L'Aquila, where he almost was to get in touch with the "Yes We Camp" groups. he visited the closed area of the city centre.

it needs to keep attention high on this, he said. when disasters like these hit a place, help and funds come massively in the first weeks, but then everything falls into oblivion. with his presence he means to bring the world's attention on the place and its needs.

the crowd he met was of course happy to see him, expecially young people. something different from the usual shit they have to live with, during these sultry days in the debris of their once hometown.

clooney said he's coming in L'Aquila to shoot a movie in September. the place had already been chosen as a location before the quake hit.
