Un-Rec This Thread If You Disagree

Because I don't like the new Un-Rec option.

It promotes negativity - if you don't like a thread - say your piece in the reply's and move on.

Also there are those who will un-rec others they don't like for personal reasons regardless of the context of the thread.

I know that people have been asking for it for a long time and it was inevitable - but I still don't like the idea.

We've ended up with some cringe-inducing embarrassments on the front page because of that. I see Unrec as a counter to that, as well as the "Rec this if you agree with my simplistic profanity-laden rant" threads.

As I'm sure the OP of this thread is aware, while a well-argued comment is the most effective form of criticism, there are also times when the (generic) OP of a thread replies with something like "thanks for the kick :rofl:".
