Malia visiting the Colosseum in Rome with her mom and Sasha during the G8 summit. I love the hair, too.

Another shirt she wore during the visit bearing the symbol originally designed for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in 1958.

Miss Obama's peacenik T-shirt sends a message to G8 leaders
By Charlotte Spratt

Her father had just won agreement from the Russians to cut back on the world's stockpiles of nuclear weapons.
And Barack Obama's eldest daughter was obviously keen to make her own statement on the issue - even if it was merely a fashion statement.

Just 48 hours after the U.S. President signed agreements with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev to reduce weapon stores, 11-year-old Malia Obama was spotted wearing not one, but two T-shirts with an anti-nuclear message.

She wore the tops emblazoned with the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament's famous logo as her father prepared for three days of G8 talks in Italy.

I love our first family, really love the man of the house, Hell Biden too.

4. What's old is new again.
I applaud the Obama's for taking their girls with them to the G8 summit. It will be forever a memory for them and serve to build character of good standing in them.......not that they aren't already very exceptional young gals.

8. I had quite a few kids in my class last year with peace sign garb...
and accessories. They knew I was a peacenik, so I got lots of pictures of peace signs drawn for me and several gifts given to me with the logo, too. Loved every handmade and store bought gift I received!

17. I saw that too...
...looking at her arms and hands, it just looks like she's in 'grow mode'.
Second that on 'think she's gonna be tall' as well.
Pretty child...

This is going to be something for her and her sis to look back on; attending the G8 with their parents.
I'd bet the rent (and I ain't a bettin' sort of badgerpup) that her folks have done their best to make sure both girls understand WHY they're here and what this gathering of brasshats, bosses, and grand high poo-bahs is all about as well...

One of those kids could become the first female African American president some day.

They seems like wonderful responsible mature kids.

19. She certainly seems to walk with that Obama confidence & swagger
in that first pic...reminds me of a pic of her dad during the campaign. I believe he was on the tarmac on his way to or from a plane. He had shades on too and looked just as cool as the other side of the pillow.
