Joe Klein Gets Spanked by His Readers on Impeachment
http://blog.democrats.com/klein-spanked-by-readers-on-impeachment

Here is one expample:

Joke Line said:
"it shouldn't be cheapened by Democrats in this one. It should be saved for the most blatant cases of serious criminality, not for criminal adolescence and incompetence."

Jesus tapdancing Christ, Joe, what are you so afraid of?

The Bush Administration has ADMITTED to serious criminality when it admitted it violated the FISA law. And then there's the defrauding of the US Government in making the case to go war with Iraq, the obstruction of justice with the US Attorney firings, the violation of the Hatch Act with blatant partisanship at the GSA (and presumably other departments), the corrupt relationship with Jack Abramoff...need I go on?

Joe, you KNOW this Administration has engaged in serious criminality. Even you're not that stupid. So I have to conclude you won't call for impeachment because you're afraid. Of what I don't know, only you can answer that. But whatever the reason, be honest about it- don't bulls--t yourself and everybody else about the reason why you don't want to see impeachment.

Don't be afraid, Joe, just jump in. The water's fine.

2. Joe realized that he accidentally stood up to the right-wing bullies for once

(rather than surrendering to them like he always tries to get the Dems to do), and he scared himself.

Joe knows that if the "No Fear" meme catches on, nobody will listen to him anymore.

5. Eric Alterman has had a running war of words w/Klein, and this is really good:
http://mediamatters.org/altercation/200704060006#2

What, Klein thinks that this tepid, dilatory cud-chewing somehow validates everything his betters have been saying since 2001? That this watery-kneed pissantry gives the rest of us permission to know what we've known, and to say what we've been saying? Klein shouldn't be all over television, being praised by the cowardly for being timid. He should be out on Paul Krugman's lawn in sackcloth, pouring ashes over his head.
