Who lost. The people had a choice, right? Democratic platform and ideals or Republican platform and ideals? So if the people voted AGAINST the Republican stance of their own free will, why do Conservadems side with the LOSING SIDE over and over again?

1. They figure, as long as they're to the left of Franco,
we'll still vote for them over the current batch of batshit crazy Republicans.

What we need is moderate Republican alternative candidates to push the Democrats to the center, or center right at least.

2. Actually, no.
Ours was appointed after a vacancy. He's a ConservaDem. And he's not even in a conservative district. And our Gov is Dem! Go figger . . .

3. becasue in their district the I's outnumber either the Rs or the Ds
and they can only assume that some of the Is swing to the conservative side (probably more than Ds swinging to the far left)

So they bet on the spread. They're fairly safe once they are incumbents, but they never forget more conservative Rs than Ds nowadays.

And they get big money from Corporations who usually give a lot more to Rs, Blue Dogs always want to increase their slice, sadly.

4. Healthcare reform is MAINSTREAM. They can get re-elected if they vote mainstream.
Anything else is an EXCUSE.

This idea that DEMS will all lose their seats if they back Obama on mainstream issues is just more excuses & cover.
