Not the best weekend to find out Mr. Elehhhhna has lymphoma....
what with our contemporaries dropping dead right and left.

Looks like maybe slow-growing, fairly easy to knock into remission...more info to come later this week.

We couldd use some serious du vibes here in TX.

xo,

Elena

16. Oh at least a dozen in the works in my head.
Need to stabilize some things in my life before they'll be able to make it to paper though. You just worry about yourself and reserve your hope for where it's needed most.

58. I'm not Christian myself, but praying is easy
Just speak your hopes, fears, intentions, whatever, to the sky, the sun, the moon or whatever. No fancy words needed, just feeling. In other words, you'll do fine, my slightly north of me sister.

I'm all practiced up after my last two months, so I'll be praying for him myself.

29. Hubs has it in the spleen & so far no symptoms but pain in the side...
His hematologist said the same thing! "This is the one you want, if you have to have it."

Also said he thinks they're one to two years away from a cure.

Creepy & scary though, yanno? We haven't used the L word or the C word with t he kids (15 & 13) --there's time to give them more info when we have it.

CONGRATS on your successful surgery!

38. my dad had the slow stuff. you can kick it. Just eat. Now. often. put on the
pounds. take ensure when the treatment starts and if you do chemo, get the anti-nausea stuff. they can give it. make sure you eat and take care. you can kill the slow stuff. Don't EVER take worst case scenario as the only path.

My son was diagnosed with lymphoma after being misdiagnosed for 2 years. He was givin a 30% chance of survival. The scan lit up like a Christmas tree. He underwent 6 months of chemo instead of the usual 3 months.

That was 6 years ago. He's still kicking - smokes like a chimney, eats shit that would kill a mountain man. Take heart, we're all here for you and Mr. elehhha.

My first husband had only 3 months, so we never had a chance to figure this out. My second one got about 18 months and that's exactly what he did. Nothing much changed right up to the day that he passed on.
