Chavez says: No, USA and Obama are at fault...Zelaya says: CNN is supporting the Honduran coup...Chavez says: Obama is new Devil like Bush...Zelaya says: Obama saved my life..Chavez says: Shut up!

3. Zelaya wanted a constitution rewrite, didn't have that power (Congress does) but scheduled election
anyway. Got ballots from Venezuela, but Supreme Court ruled the whole thing was unconstitutional. Congress agreed. Supreme Court ordered military not to comply with his vote order. He fired military commander, Supreme Court ordered him to reinstate, he refused. He broke into holding place for ballots, tried to distribute them. Attorney general, after ruling that said referendum was unconstitutional (only Congress can do it), said he would prosecute anyone trying to carry it out. Zelaya tried anyway, got arrested, got sent to Costa Rica for a time out. Military was acting on a court order to defend the rule of law and the constitution, and handed power back to Congress. The end.

6. That's right. Maybe Zelaya can be Baby Doc's roomate or move to Iran, he'll like
Ahmadinejad's tactics, heck, Chavez congratulated Ahmadinejad on his "glorious victory" What happened in Honduras is reverse-Iran...we would be celebrating if the patriot protesters in Iran would have topp;ed Ayatollah and Ahmadinejad.

11. Your CIA unit is looking for you. Something about where to pick up your paycheck.
It was accidently sent to the School of Americas.

13. Oh, constitution shmonstitution
Any time you propose a referendum it must mean more democracy, so you can just totally ignore whatever the constitution says about it and blame right wingers for anything that doesn't go your way. At least, that seems to be the thinking among some DUers.

Seriously, any time you see a president challenging the term limits on the office they currently hold you have to wonder if there's a slight conflict of interest taking place.

15. If you want to quote part of it, quote all the relevant parts
Article 5 goes on to say that 2/3 of the elected legislators must approve the holding of a referendum. Yes, there is a constitutional right to referendum in Honduras. No, the President can not just call one whenever he feels like it.

16. Does your concern about "constitutionality" extend to ARTICULO 102 - Ningún hondureño podrá ser
expatriado ni entregado por las autoridades a un Estado extranjero? The supposed "authorities" deporting the President at gunpoint seems to violate this article
