Original Jackson accuser; admits father put him up to it
Wow.

http://awkwardstar.wordpress.com/2009/06/27/jordan-chandler-admits-he-lied-about-michael-jackson

***Under the influence of a controversial father (Jordan Chandler) told his son to tell that Jackson had touched his penis.Jordan Chandler then told a psychiatrist and later police that he and Jackson had engaged in acts of kissing, masturbation and oral sex, as well as giving a detailed description of what he alleged were the singer’s genitals.

” Now for the first time i can’t bare to lie anymore. Michael Jackson didn’t do anything to me, all was my father lies to escape from being poor.”***

The father was a doctor or oral surgeon, IIRC.

Plus this post confuses the name of the father and son in the case.

They overspend. They get sued (apparently he wasn't the best dentist around). They're greedy. Etc.

Go read this, then come back and tell what you think:

8. Here's the problem I have with MJ's behavior after the '93 trial
Ok, let's say he was framed on this circumstance, and he managed to get out of it for a relatively few dollars and a load of embarassment. Why not shut down Neverland at that point?

Surely, he had lawyers and shrinks telling him not to behave that way any more, but he couldn't stop himself, because he just HAD to be around all those little boys...

down the streets of a town where some cop gave me a ticket, and I managed to beat the ticket, I'd do everything I could to avoid driving through that place again.

Running the juvenile equivalent of the Playboy Mansion after just dodging a bullet is not smart, he certainly had wise advise to shut it all down. He was stupid to put it up in the first place, he was inviting people who were stupid enough to take a chance on offering their children up as living sacrifices to the King of Pop, just for a chance at "Courtroom Lottery".

40. I'm operating under the assumption
that he had sane, rational advisors.

Well, Elvis was able to pay enough money to find multiple doctors to supply him with the drugs he needed to kill himself, I suspect the same thing happened here. You can always fire the sane and rational people, and replace them with those who coo in your ear exactly what you want to hear, I guess...

the links go back to a Jacko fan site.

Not terribly impressive.

Besides, $22,000,000 is a hell of a lot for an innocent man to pay, don't you think?

Plus, this - http://www.thesmokinggun.com/michaeljackson/010605jacksonsplotch.html - pretty much sealed the deal............

42. The settlement is always going to taint any claims of innocence
I can understand paying off someone in some instances just to make things go away.

But given the stigma that even just the charge of child molestation carries against the accused I can't imagine not doing what I had to in order to be completely cleared of the accusation.

Would a court case to prove his innocence really have cost more (in terms of money and Jackson's reputation) than settling for the amount that Jackson paid out?

I wonder if he ever regretted not taking the first case to court for all the "good" settling it out of court did him in the end.

11. What a joke--"Bare to lie?" This idiot had better stand by for a lawsuit!
The two little question marks after the title are an asscovering technique. Likely won't fly if Chandler decides to go after that guy. I suspect someone with a 20M nest egg can afford to strip this publicity seeker on a free Wordpress blog of every dime he has.

Making shit up has consequences.

39. because it wasn't false
Chandler gave a detailed description of the appearance of Jackson's genitals including drawings that were sealed in an envelope and dated with a postage meter to show the drawings were made before Jackson had his genitals photographed (by court order)... Chandler's drawings and description matched the photos. It was then that Jackson settled for the 20+ million.

26. Here is a debunking:
http://blog.vpjayant.com/?p=21

It’s amazing what people will believe if it’s written down somewhere. Today, a fake article was published, which stated that Jordan Chandler had confessed to having lied in court 16 years ago, where he accused Michael Jackson of molesting him. This comes shortly after the death of Michael Jackson, and was a clear attempt to cash in on everyone’s anger over the death of the King of Pop.

This “article” quickly spread through the Internet, especially over Twitter, where it spent a considerable amount of time in the trending topics.

A surprising number of people believed the article without question, despite the fact that it was on a new wordpress.com blog, with no history of accuracy and no sources. On top of this, the article was inaccurate and poorly written.

Here is the article in question, with some corrections:

After the sudden death of Michael Jackson, Evan Jordan Chandler tells the truth.

In 1993, Chandler told a psychiatrist and police that he and Jackson had engaged in sexual acts that included oral sex, the boy gave detailed description of Jackson’s genitals. The case was settled out of court for a reported $22 million, but the strain led Jackson to begin taking painkillers. Eventually he became addicted.

Now, maybe for the out of remorse of for his death, Chandler decides to tell us the truth. ” I never meant to lie and destroy Michael Jackson but my father made me to tell only lies. Now i can’t tell Michael how much i’m sorry and if he will forgive me ”. Evan Chandler was tape-recorded saying amongst other things, “If I go through with this, I win big-time. There’s no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever…

Under the influence of a controversial father (Jordan Evan Chandler) told his son to tell say that Jackson had touched his penis.< >Jordan Chandler then told a psychiatrist and later police that he and Jackson had engaged in acts of kissing, masturbation and oral sex, as well as giving a detailed description of what he alleged were the singer’s genitals.
” Now for the first time i can’t bare to lie anymore. Michael Jackson didn’t do anything to me, all was my father lies to escape from being poor.”

Since the “article” was published, not a single respectable (or even disrespectable) news source has said anything remotely similar to what was said here.

31. more lies
the child abuse was reported to police because the kid went to a psychiatrist and by law the psychiatrist was required to report suspected abuse.

so, if the kid's dad put him up to it, that's sort of interesting to know, huh? because the father DIDN'T KNOW that the law required the doctor to reported suspected abuse.

So that would make him 29 now.

It would be interesting if he really did come out with the truth about what really happened, now that he's an adult and free from his parents' influences one way or another.
