FAA Spokesperson Takes Back Billy Mays Quote
Edited on Sun Jun-28-09 02:06 PM by tj2001
Laura Brown, the FAA spokesperson who gave TMZ this quote about Billy Mays -- "The passenger needs to wear a seat belt during landing and he didn't" -- now says she didn't say it.

She now tells TMZ, "At this point in time, we cannot have any idea who was or wasn't wearing their seat belt on the plane."

Mays was one of the passengers aboard a plane that landed roughly at Tampa Airport yesterday. He told a local FOX affiliate he was hit on the head by falling items.

1. Billy
I heard he died from an overdose of prescription pain killers that he was taking for the pain in his ears caused by having to listen to himself.

2. Yes, but...
how would wearing a seat belt have kept falling stuff from striking his head? I don't get it.

3. It's possible he flew up when the plane bounced w/o having
a seatbelt securing him in.

was confabulating a story to try and cover their asses..........but it does not rise to the occasion as being plausible. O8)
