Here is a link to a thread posted on Free Public yesterday that has Eleanor Roosevelt's column in praise of the Battle of Athens (TN). (Although the Eleanor Roosevelt column posted there uses one title of her column as it appeared around the country, I prefer the title given by the Daily Post Athenian (Athens, TN's paper) when they published her column in August, 1946: "McMinn a warning".)
http://209.157.64.201/focus/f-news/2280871/postsThe freeper thread also includes a link to the "Nashville is Talking" summary on the Battle of Ellis' Farm, when our Republican Secretary of State sent two TN Bureau of Investigation officers to my farm last Tuesday after filing a "terrorist threat against a government official" complaint against me
http://www.nashvilleistalking.com/2009/06/secretary-of-state-makes-unsubstantiated-terrorist-threat-claim/For the record, this is the first time I've ever visited Free Republic in my life. I certainly do not want to be flagged as a real domestic terrorist by visiting a very far-reich web-site that frequently incites violence against the reich-wing's enemies, including our government.
My favorite posted comment there: "Eleanor Roosevelt on Free Republic? My grandpa would be spinning in his grave if they had had internet when he lived."
Well, it's time to go cut some firewood on this late June day, 'cause there must be one hell of a cold-front heading our way (seriesly).
