Tom Ridge said Katrina was 'biblical'


he was on Wash. Journal this a.m.

said the other hurricanes were just hurricanes but Katrina was biblical. that the neo cons did their best considering Katrina was biblical.

oh please...

5. There is term " Biblical " used to describe something big and unusual.
I have heard it used many times. It does not mean an act of God.

11. Agreed, but it's still no excuse
We've had "biblical" events in this country before, earthquakes, the 1993 Mississippi flood. The response to Katrina was classic Republican ideology which is why it's been so horrific.

12. I understand. But coming from a Bushite it has the resonance of "punishment from God" ...
... sad to say. Under the tender mercies of the Bush Cabal, the terms "Biblical" and "Act of God" took on a much more primitive meaning.
