9. I confess to liking Bush's vegetarian baked beans
They're not B&M, but I can't get those from any of the local markets here in NM.

However, that's as close as I'd ever get to voting for a Bush.

11. God no. I actively worked to defeat every Bush.
But Oliver Stone's movie "W" almost made me feel some affection towards GHWB. He sucked, but at least he was nowhere near as dangerous and stupid as his son.

16. The worst vote I ever cast ... Reagan/Bush in 1980. I did NOT repeat that mistake.
The second worst -- but understandable -- was Nixon/Agnew in 1968. That was an error I didn't repeat either.

19. Ironically, I was going to vote for Poppy over Dukakis, but I think I was
disenfranchised, in retrospect, Bushie-style.

Funny thing is, Poppy the Monster was going to get my vote. Yes, yes, I was a youthful naive fool who had not yet understood just how horrifically monstrous the Bush Family was and is.

But I was young man, a registered Democrat on a military base. When I showed up to my on-base "polling place", it wasn't there. I tried to find out where I needed to go and vote, but magically couldn't.

I was pretty excited, too, as this was to have been my second big election I could vote, so I didn't give up easily. And this wasn't a result of sloppiness on my part. I was too excited and all set to vote.

But eventually, I gave up. Mission Accomplished, you Bushie disenfranchising fucks!

Of course, I never gave it a second thought until more than a decade later. Now I understand. I was almost certainly a victim of a Bushie Disenfranchisement Op. And almost certainly not the only Democrat on the base tricked like that.

Just how long have these fuckers been doing this shit? I wonder how many young Democrats it happens to on military bases all over the nation STILL? And how many, in their youthful ignorance, just eventually throw up their hands as I did and get disenfranchised without ever really knowing what just got done to them?

33. Voted for Daddy Bush in a Republican primary (1980)
Actually, I was supporting John Anderson for the Republican nomination, but he was not in my state's primary (this was before Anderson dropped out and ran as an Independent). The objective was to try and avoid Reagan locking up the nomination rather than any real affection for Bush Sr.
