2. Colonels and 1 Star Generals Are Shoeshine boys at the Pentagon
He may make himself sound all important on the TV but you have to ask yourself, how much does this clown's opinion count for?

3. Here's his bio from Wikipedia
Jack H. Jacobs (born August 2, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York) was a Colonel in the United States Army and a Medal of Honor recipient for his heroic actions during the Vietnam War.

Jack Jacobs, who entered military service through Rutgers University ROTC, earned the Medal of Honor in 1969 for exceptional heroism on the battlefields of Vietnam. He also holds three Bronze Stars, two Silver Stars, and two Purple Heart Medals. Jacobs was an advisor to a Vietnamese infantry battalion when it came under a devastating fire that disabled the commander. Although bleeding from severe head wounds, then 1st Lt. Jacobs took command, withdrew the unit to safety, and returned again and again under intense fire to rescue the wounded and perform life-saving first aid. He saved the lives of a U.S. advisor and 13 allied soldiers.

Jacobs served on the faculty of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the National War College in Washington, D.C. After retirement, he founded and was chief operating officer of Auto Finance Group. As a managing director of Bankers Trust Co., he led Global Investment Management to $2.2 billion in assets and later co-founded a similar business for Lehman Brothers. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is the Vice Chairman of the Medal of Honor Foundation. He is also a military analyst for NBC/MSNBC.

Jacobs is married, has a grown daughter and two sons, and he lives in Far Hills, New Jersey.

6. my letter to MSFAUX
I am sorry this had to happen, because I had hoped that your station would shine, especially in the glow of KeithO's numbers. I am turning your station off permanently, even though I keep news on all day (for business reasons).

Col. Jacobs (ret) is the most irritating, obnoxious and erroneous person I have seen outside Faux Gnus. If you guys are trying to match them for screeching, bullshit and worse, well, you have lost a viewer forever. Not only are his positions contrary to the training given to troops these days, but his tone and aggressive attitude truly belong on Faux. Shame on you for putting this irritating, blathering, bullshit artist on the air. Send him to Orally. He fits there far better.

When sanity and news coverage returns to MSNBC, so shall I.

Sincerely,

7. I had to turn off MSNBC when I heard Whore-A O'Donnell cackling
in the other room. Between her and "meathead" Jack, it got to be too much for me.

8. I've heard Jacobs criticize all of those things...
Not sure what he's saying today, but generally I have no problem with him.

9. Col. Jack Jacobs
Col. Jacobs is a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient for
service in Vietnam. He often appears on MSNBC, at times I
believe with Keith Olbermann. While military to the core, he
tends to be highly critical of the Smirking Chimp and his
coterie of flying monkeys.
