Former Sanford Press Secretary and political blogger Will Folks reports on his FitsNews.com website that the Governor was in fact on a dove hunting trip to Argentina. Folks says they asked Sanford's office about this two days ago and were told this was false.

1. Yeah hunting doves helps get the wingers all fired up behind ya. Good strategy. Think of how
popular Cheney was after his bird massacres during his canned hunts.

13. what a bunch of hypocrits...
Taken from one of the comments:

"It is amazing that the Democrats can get things in such an uproar. As far as what goes on between a man an his wife is no ones business. If his wife approved of his trip or didn't care where he went is only between them. Why was someone looking for him anyway? If the State Constitution is so screwed up that no one knows the succession of power, then that needs to be changed. I support him even more. On any job that I ever had, I didn't have to tell anyone where I went on vacation. Why would some of the comments say this would get them fired? Go Governor"

21. Yeah I read that-but the next two comments...
As a reasonable man, I view the governor's actions as much less than reasonable. What man takes off without telling his wife and children? What man walks away from his job and responsibilities without making arrangements? GOP leaders can't be serious that they would consider providing this man with a nuclear trigger? When comparing Gov. Sanford with President Obama, it becomes clear that America has made a good choice.

I would have been fired from my job if I just left with no explaination.. What was the girls name he was with... All you Rebublican's out there that can't understand why everyone is upset,,REALLY are you serious,, Every last one of you know that this was a total screw up by our Governor, Rebublican or Democrat you don't act like a scatter brain if you are Governor of a STATE... This is totally unacceptable..And yes he can say good buy to any Presidential nominations my god can you imagine if this man became president... We really would be in trouble.. Just think about it N. Korea is shooting missles at Hawaii and our President is in Argentina or Hiking, or Whatever he was doing... NOT GOOD

it gets a little more nuttier after that

18. Guess Argentina really is the place for cold-blooded killers of doves to go.

http://www.jjcaceria.com.ar/dove-hunting-argentina.htm

If you are willing for the proudest dove hunting experience of your lifetime and wish to hunt in one of the most stylish Argentine lodge, tasting exquisite homemade typical cuisine, surrounded by the highest population of doves ever seen, look no more.

JJ Cacería is a company run by its owners with headquarters in Córdoba; yet, it operates in three different provinces to guarantee the success of the dove hunting program of your choice. We know the time and money it takes to organize a hunting trip abroad. This is why José Luis, Mónica and Roberto Grasso, the owners of JJ Cacería, together with the unmatched help of Layne Balke in the USA, will make sure you vividly remember your dove hunting trip in Argentina.

24. Dove really means
Hunting for some hot ______, whether female or male I have no clue, but I would bet that "Dove" is synonymous for it. And that can be hunted on the beach.

This guy is too fun! Why have the people of South Carolina been keeping him all to themselves?

It would be nice if someone did, if they could try to confirm the veracity of these remarks.

((on edit: a simple google reveals that there are many doves to be hunted in Argentina: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=dove+hunting+Argentina&aq=f&oq=&aqi=00, but that doesn't mean that I'm buying any of this yet.))
