So this Dylan Ratigan guy is an idiot.
Edited on Wed Jun-24-09 09:33 AM by redqueen
Did anyone see him on The Ed Show last night? Saying that the government's job is to *whateverdumcraphesaid* and not provide services? (This was in an effort to argue against even a public option, let alone single payer.)

Is this moron unfamiliar with the US Postal Service? Firefighters? Libraries?

And he's getting a morning show starting next week? Really?

Seriously... where do they find these losers?

1. I'll give him an hour, then I'll bring my business elsewhere.
A smutty novel will do.

2. MSNBC gives another "entertainer" his own program
Too bad news/political shows can't just be that. It has to have entertainment value, so they find clowns to pretend to give us important information.

5. Too bad indeed.
I don't mind a little clowning... but I wish they'd relegate the abject stupidity to the celebrity 'news'.

3. He's been on with Alex Witt twice today and won't STFU
Even if he has something intelligent to say (and I don't know that he does) he's such a bombastic, loud-mouthed jerk you can't tell. Did I hear he's going to have a 2-hour long show? Good Lord. Give more of the morning airtime to Carlos Watson. I think he's great.

8. Well isn't Ed kinda bombastic and loud mouthed?
But I like Ed... cause he uses facts and stuff.

7. Have you listened to anything he's said today? He is defending
us taxpayers against company bailouts and entities that are "too big to fail". He is saying that RICO statutes need to be enforced and anyone found ripping off the U.S. taxpayer should be prosecuted accordingly.

So, what exactly is the problem with that?

11. But he and Joe do not get along...
which is one point in his favor. He is not afraid to speak out against the big banks, I have noticed.

14. Is it part of the trend or did he always?
I see he had a stint on Fast Money or whatever the hell that show is called. I wonder if he was railing aginst them then... or if he just jumped on the bandwagon.

Sorry, anyone who argues against the public option cause 'the government doesn't provide services' is a bona fide moron. Even Joe makes a good point once in a while. Doesn't mean he deserves to have that show.

15. I couldn't believe this guy on The Ed Show.
He's the most perfect example of "I've got mine, to hell with you" that I've seen. Says health care will have to be rationed, that not everyone can have the most expensive procedures. I don't understand how MSNBC starts out with Scarborough and this idiot and manages to end up with Olbermann and Madow.
