3. The Betlway Bubble Is Made Of Insurance Company Money
Yep...they think Chuckles Toad came up with a real gotcha yesterday...that somehow a public option is sure to put those big, rich insurance companies out of business and then what will we do?
Damn right they're scared about a health system that is accountable as there's a lot of money being thrown around now to whip up the "fear".
But then has anyone seen a proponent for either public option or single payer on that network? Doubtful.
A great comment I heard the other day was that those with insurance are afraid that by offering coverage to the "riff raff" that they'll not only be force to pay for their care (and you know how much rushpublicans really care about others) and make it tough for them to get their tummy tucks while the "riff raff" overcrowd their beloved doctors offices an hospitals.
Selfishness is at the heart of this "debate". I had to laugh when Goober Graham claimed that the government would be standing in the way between you and your doctor. Obviously this scumbag has never had to deal with an insurance company intent on playing god.
Scott Wilson is pissing me off. Iran has not caught my imagination because when the dust settles we will see that this is a revolution in the minds of the corporate media and their backers. The breathtaking hypocrisy re coverage when compared to Iraq has angered me more than anything else.
I've shut out a lot of the corporate media pyschobabble on Iran. It's been a disgrace to listen to these asshats speculate and be so wrong on so many counts. But it doesn't surprise. I flash back often to 1978-79 and the overthrow of the Palhavis and the Savak and saw how poorly that story was covered then...by a far more robust and journalistically professional media. We didn't have all the spinners out there we do now...nor did reporters and columnists fill up the teevee...they stayed in the newsrooms where they belonged (and still got it mostly wrong).
As always the GOOP's revisionist history plays big time here. I've heard how Obama is being like Carter...a sign of sure weakness in beltway bubblespeak...mixing up Iran with Iraq with Israel/Palestine and the Cold War...making up shit as they go.
But then remember, the object of the corporate media now is not to report as to play agent provacateur...it's a way where you can be the biggest hypocrite and then pretend that it's being done in the cause of being "fair and balanced".
Mornin' to ya...life could be worse...just think if it were Gramp McCain having to deal with this situation. Just think back to how he reacted to the Georgia crisis last summer.
