I really love what the Daily Show is doing re: Iran.

Jason Jones went over to Iran and is doing reports from there. Nothing about McCain, but I'm sure JS'll get to it.

That's what I remember JS saying.

I give the Daily Show the benefit of the doubt and assume they planned the trip pre election on purpose (maybe just logistical reasons or official restrictions).
In other words, The Daily Show was anticipating the story while CNN was not.
Even if the election outcome had been undisputed, Iran still would have been a big story in my opinion.

5. I was struck by the timeliness.

I assumed that it was either coincidental or that these were older tapes and they had pulled them out again because of current events.
