If I were in the LGBT community and also a taxpayer; and one who joined the armed services, for all the "perks", joining the others who joined the armed services enjoy, and had to obey "don't ask, don't tell or lose those benefits, I'd stop paying taxes.
We clearly lost most of our minds 9 years ago, but can't we use our intelligence in the 21st century?
Everyone is created equal and thus, government law protects and treats everyone as an equal. Except it doesn't. We don't.
I'd be real fed up with the status quo if I were LGBT. Think Iran protests. Long hot summer. Corner your local Congresscritter at the local July 4th BBQ. Tell him or her, you want the same civil rights as other citizens, an expansion of medicare to cover everyone and the same open right to serve this country with courage, integrity and the same benefits fellow soldiers get.
