6. No more than a long weekend
And he's worked far more weekends than he has taken off.

There was talk that he would do a week or two on Martha's Vineyard, possibly with the Clintons (and there was another rumor that Chelsea would get married at this time, but that seems to have been misinformation).

And of course, I'm sure he'll need the Republican National Committee's permission before going on vacation, otherwise we'll hear nothing but snark every day that he is gone.

7. he has not
He has had no vacation yet, cleaning up Bush's mess is a full-time job, the only days he is not at the White House working are days when he has to go overseas to meet with foreign leaders

9. After the election he went to Hawaii to bury his grandmother and there was OUTRAGE
that he wasn't immediately working on fixing the country. I can only imagine the outrage that will occur if and when he goes back to HI.

14. Ugh.. that was far worse than merely that outrage
A big chunk of the right said he'd killed his grandmother. Even for them their reaction to his going to the funeral was hideous.

He has also played golf on some weekend days - like a normal guy (at least like the guys I know).

The nerve!

edit to add - so, nope, no vacations yet.
