As everyone says..hiking..Here at DU, many are saying that someone is could be telling a lie....Is that possible?
rehab?..womanizing?...what can it be ?

This hiking story, if untrue, will focus on Republican lies...Let's here it for them..

Perhaps the staff and wife don't know where he is and they are using the hiking excuse as a way to buy time while they try to locate him.

Does he have a past history of substance abuse or sexual escapades?

11. I have no idea what he is doing.

He is crazy enough to just disappear and want to be ALONE.

However, I think nobody knows where he really is. I think his wife and staff are spinning to try to salvage something. They may have already sent someone to try to find him.

They went to the trouble to find out where the last ping from his cellphone was. The phone was somewhere near Atlanta. Now it is turned off. You don't look at pings if you aren't worried about something.

I haven't heard of any kind of escapades. However, who knows. Except for a group of cultlike libertarians who adore him, nobody cares except as gossip. There is a problem because while the Lt. Governor can take over for some problems, there is a huge gray area if power isn't handed over. Besides that issue, I don't care. I hope he isn't hurt, and I feel sorry for his kids.

He can stuff a Roman candle up his butt and fly to the moon.

7. I don't blame them...

His attitude towards education alienates anyone with at least a high school diploma (and a few victims of circumstances whose opinions of education due not reflect the limited opportunities that had them denied them theirs) while his refusal to accept money for the state makes the state GOP looks like a gang of jackasses, although state GOPs in Jesusland are hard to tell apart from Franco and Mussolini.

4. Great story...really.. they cannot win with it.....

If he went hiking, alone, in the mountains, it really shows what a real idiot he is.

If he went hiking to rehab, or with some lady, or some other nonsence..well it really shows what a liar he is..

we all believe THAT....as if one's own wife wouldn't know her husband took hiking gear, packed up the car and split w/o even a note? Sounds like a crack binge or he has a woman tucked away somewhere.

BLM said Sanford was in National Guard and also that he likes doing political stunts.

I think he's serving some time in the Guard and after he's done, they'll announce it and make a big deal out of how patriotic he is.
