A Minneapolis bridge that was closed after inspectors deemed it unsafe will be imploded later this month.

The Lowry Avenue bridge over the Mississippi River will come down on June 21, and construction on a new bridge will begin this fall.

Bridge engineers discovered one of the bridge's piers had rotated enough that it posed too much of a risk to the public. It was closed in April 2008.

4. It's a video. Check out the link. It shows a woman with a german shepherd who obviously had not

thought the explosion would scare the dog. Luckily, she grabs the leash in time. (Think, people, think). And just a few weeks before 4th of July and all the surrounding fireworks.
