the twitter/youtube phenomenon made it way to obvious to the general public for the media to ignore. They see the Iran stuff is popular, so they report, to get viewers :shrug:

Iraq didn't have the same stream of internal information.

but the internal structure failed quickly; Iran still has power, the internet, phones, etc. They may be heavily censored, but they're there
