I could speculate, suffice it to say that this is a MAJOR crisis now involving not just Iranians. Suffice it to say from what I know article 5 of NATO (and a similar one for the OAS) comes to mind.

3. Will check to see if I can find a damn thing. Why I woke up early

this is history live.

Nope, though apparently the Mexican Embassy is now accepting casualties as well as the Australian Embassy.

Of course all of this should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

And yes they did try, according to the two bloggers I am following, to burn the Dutch and the Swiss.

4. We need less breathless melodrama here over Iran, not more.

10. Given that this breathless reporting is coming straight from the people IN COUNTRY
and that it does not matter what I say. The sky is blue, you will argue... why don't you save yourself the typing time required to try to demean those you do not like.

By the way... this is coming from a source that I have said before and I will say it again, has to be taken with a grain of salt. But I am sure you have NOTICED that even CNN covered this embassy list yesterday. (So did FOX)

In case you wonder they were covering the drama around the CANADIAN embassy. So is CNN and FOX also drama queens, or just me for using the same fucking source they are?

5. I think it's gonna get even uglier today. My heart goes out to...
the brave Iranians that have once again taken to the streets today. May they all be safe and their cries for justice be heard all around the world.

6. Yeah it is getting very uggly
but people around the world understand one thing we Muricans don't comprehend. Sometimes you have to be willing to die for whatever is your cause. I wished more than the hundred freezing idiots showed up in 2004 for example. If we had these numbers RIGHT NOW in teh streets, for single payer, nation wide. Trust me, they'd pay attention.

We are not.

As I said, freedom is not free, you got to pay attention and sometimes be willing to die for it.

That said... their version of democracy and freedom will look very different from ours. I can guarantee that.

7. I looked up to the students for their role in the Viet Nam....
protests. Who could ever forget Kent State and the Chicago Convention? And how they stood together to protest Du Pont for manufacturing Agent Orange and Napalm and got the hell beat out of them.

The students in this country haven't been pro-active in any kind of numbers for decades. It's pretty disappointing.

8. THat has been by design and social engineering
I noticed that during the protests in 2004. Yes, there were some students, but the organizers and the average age was well into the forties.
