Anti-abortion groups have organized what they call a prayer vigil and memorial service at noon outside Women's Health Care Services at 5107 E. Kellogg, which was the scene of numerous protests because late-term abortions were performed there.

This is about prayer and healing and a memorial service," said Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, one of the three organizations heading the event.

Today's activities include a walk along Kellogg from west to east inside the city limits, and a closing prayer vigil in the evening at Living Word Outreach.

Mahoney helped lead Operation Rescue's "Summer of Mercy" protests in 1991, during which protesters blockaded Tiller's clinic and were arrested.

The purpose of today's visit to the clinic is far different, Newman said.

"We're not here trying to inflame," he said.

1. "We're not here trying to inflame"

4. What part of the bible DO they understand?
Certainly not Jesus, calling them hypocrites for praying in public.

Go back to your closets, little ones, for you know not what the fuck you do.

5. The rain is God's disapproval for their judgmental ways, I'm just sure.
They wouldn't know "mercy" if it jumped up and smacked them in their pale, clinched asscheeks.

6. "inflame"
Just there getting his rocks off with visions of hellfire and torture, since he no doubt believes that Dr. Tiller is burning there for eternity.

Everything about those people is distorted and wrong.
