If ***YOU*** had the Bully Pulpit ..........
..... what would YOU be bullying about?

I'd be bullying for serious, actual, massive health care reform.

1. Same here
What could be more important?

Does anybody want the insurance companies deciding who should get what treatment?

I hate the insurance companies.

2. No one wants me to have a bully pulpit
I have a vulgar mouth and would go on about everything I think is wrong until some one dragged me off of it. I do not think it would be a pretty sight. but... maybe that what people need...

3. Health care and Equal Rights and end of war
but a biggie not mentioned and so necessary after reading so many posts here, the funding of education that require civics lessons be taught at all levels - people have no clue as to how our government functions.

4. I'd open the books on BCCI - that means major issues like healthcare will have NO OPPOSITION

because BushInc and his enablers would either be in jail, disgraced, or have no credibility with a huge majority of the American people.

8. End the wars, establish universal healthcare. Pare down this
overblown government so money saved could be spend to benefit citizens, not big biz, not self-serving politicians.

How naive of me to dream such of a thing, I'll never live to see it.

12. Medicare for everyone! Throw the kleptocratic bums out!
What we need is an eloquent fire and brimstone liberal/progressive leftist - as in LBJ/Harry Truman/FDR social democratic reformist center left - to articulate the demands of the people in terms that are easy to understand and that lay wide open for all to see the kleptocratic bullshit barrage that we are assaulted with on a daily basis. I knew I wasn't getting that with Obama, I had some hope that out of an economic crisis this administration might do something different, but that hope has faded. We have no voice. We have no leaders. It is once again just the rabble outside the gates.

19. Health care as KEY to growth
So far, health care is presented on a compassionate basis. That is a sure loser.

Instead, I would present it as the most important element in unleashing small
businesses and entrepreneurs to innovate and grow. People would be more willing
to start a business if they knew they could access good, affordable health care.
In addition, people would be more willing to take new jobs and try new ventures -
this "creative destruction" lies at the heart of the capitalist system.

Furthermore, the federal requirement for emergency room access is a classic case
of an unfunded mandate. Thus, universal, affordable, quality health care - with
a public option - will relieve cities and counties of a substantial and uneven
burden. This will not only encourage savings through preventive care, but will
also encourage hospitals to build new emergency rooms, enhancing our national
emergency care system.

Notice that this neatly defuses arguments against health care, and emphasizes
growth.
