Hi Truthseekers! We are on vacation and will return LIVE Monday June 29. Meanwhile, I wanted to post something here that wouldn’t get “stale” for the week we’re gone. So . . . I thought I’d post the answers our almost five-year-old daughter Molly gave to some questions I asked her about summer, Father’s Day, and our vacation.

Kathy: “What is the summer solstice?”

Molly: “Summer what? We celebrate Earth, and her sister. Is that the right answer?”



Kathy: “Why do we celebrate Father’s Day?”

Molly: “Because you should do good things for Daddy. I want to get Daddy a new coat and a belt.”

Kathy: “Why a coat and a belt?”

Molly: “Because the only ones he has are all black. Why do we need to get him new gifts every year? Doesn’t he like the old ones anymore?”



Kathy: “What’s the difference between Moms and Dads?”

Molly: “Dads shave their face and Moms shave their legs, and they have different voices, and Daddy does the radio show and you do the phone calls and the other important stuff, and you wear make up every day, but Daddy only wears make up when he’s on TV . . . can I brush my teeth?

Kathy: “Why do you want to brush your teeth now?”

Molly: “Because I don’t want any gravities. When I give my teeth to the tooth fairy I don’t want there to be holes in them because then I won’t get any money.”




Kathy: “What does Daddy look like?

Molly: “He looks like Daddy, don’t you remember?

Kathy: How tall is Daddy?”

Molly: “Six with eight quarters.”




Kathy: “What’s your favorite thing about going to the beach?”

Molly: “You get to jump in the waves and play in the sun and build a sandcastle that looks like our house and there are crabs and whales and sharks and dolphin that eat seaweed and mermaids. Mermaids like to eat sushi.”



Kathy: “How do you spell summer?”

Molly: “S-O-M-R-R”

Kathy: “That’s close, but not quite right . . . it’s spelled S-U-M-M-E-R.”

Molly: “You asked me how *I* spelled it, not how *YOU* spell it”



Kathy: “What are some of the things you want to pack for the trip?”

Molly: “Chocolate, marshmallows, cookies, granola bars, a beach balls, some panties, sunblock, two bathing suits, and seven books because we’re going to stay for seven nights. Are you gonna post this now?”



Kathy: “Where is Florida?”

Molly: “On the map, it’s in the United States of Umernica. It looks like a finger, it’s where the sun lives all year long.”



Kathy: “What do you like to do with Daddy?”

Molly: “I like when he tells me about Princess Astra and Quiggle and the blue pill. He loves me more than anything in the whole wide world and he plays with me in the pool and plays ‘Daddy Monster.’ I like it when he cuddles me in the morning but it’s better after he drinks some coffee.”



Kathy: “Why is it better after he drinks some coffee?”

Molly: “Because then his eyes are open more and he says ‘I love you.’ It keeps him from getting frusterbated in the morning. You win! It’s your turn to talk about Daddy now.”

She was so much better today that the vet decided that it would be a waste of time and money, and needlessly annoying to HAC to do any testing on her. She's running around again, she was on the roof this morning. I'd say that HAC is back, and I'm very glad.

Hoping that all is well with you and the Gang! :hi: :hug: :beer: I'll do the ear scratches, you're on your own with the tummy rubs. :rofl: Nosy didn't like to be rubbed down his back, and I remember when we had a house party for Howard Dean, a guest that Nosy liked stated to me that she didn't think that he would bite her after I'd warned her not to do it. He gave her the first rub down the back, and he heard me tell her not to do it again. She did, he didn't bite her, but he turned his head around with his mouth open, got her hand, but didn't break the skin. He left the room as he knew that he'd be in trouble with me if he bit her. She believed me then, and she quietly made up with him and didn't rub down his back again.

When I saw her yesterday, she was lucid and was making humorous statements about anything that was happening at the time. The Mr. was grilling me about her condition and when he and the boys were there today he mentioned that she was talkative, but would get confused. I mentioned that he's seeing her later in the day when she's tired. I had it sprung on me that an early Father's Day Dinner is supposed to happen for the FIL after 10 tonight, lol, busy day tomorrow to say the least.

I had to call his mom in work this morning because I saw that he'd thrown up and he was pretty lethargic. She came home from work and took him to the vet. fuzzy Chloe?? yea I wish she was, she suffers from flea allergy, and sometimes it causes her to lick, but not to the point of really being bad, but enough to drive you crazy, I have to take her to the Vet for some more steriods to calm it down, but she still loves to eat. I love my Chloe though!!
