for the gop nomination for senate in 2010 for Louisiana??? That was the chat this morning in New Orleans radio. Seems a (D) congressman, Charlie Melancon might have a better chance of beating vitter then getting reelected to the house so jindal might be a better choice to keep the Senate seat in gop hands. jindal is always running for an office other then the one he currently holds and word is his presidential aspirations may have to be put on hold. He also got a public spanking recently by four former governors cause ole bobby wants to cut funding for hire education. Its hard work constantly running for another office.
The Mayor of New Orleans will be up for grabs next year and the early frontrunner is Mitch Landrieu (brother of Mary) who is currently Lieutenant Governor. Or will he run for Governor? Always a fun time watching Louisiana politics.
because if he got the senate seat he'd no longer have to worry about state government and governing and all that stuff and as soon as he got elected to the senate (a big if) he could start running for President. The motherfucker is constantly running for something else and never doing the job he was elected to do. He spends all his time (except the time he is prohibited from doing so) outside the state raising money. I cannnot imagine him committing to doing anything for six years. Elective office is just a fucking game to him.
is this an archive post from four years ago? :P If Hamlet Landrieu had only made up his mind, he would have handily beaten the incumbent dunce, who would by now be lucky to find work as a greeter at Wal-Mart. :eyes:
he'll either run for Governor or Mayor! Early polls show him the frontrunner for the Mayor's job. John Georges has also (almost) thrown his hat into the Mayoral ring.
