I didn't watch the News today.

No talking head told me what to think... about anything.

No "Breaking News" told me what to be afraid of today.

No one told me what was important or should be important in my world.

It has been refreshing.

I've pretty much weaned myself from any exposure to cable or network TV news. Even cutting back on Olberman/Rachel.

You're right. It's liberating. Besides anything I need to know I can find right here on DU.

But it all got fucked up when I got in the car and the news was on.

I didn't and I have the TV off.

But I am listening to Head On Radio on the internet.

But they don't have any news... usually.

And I can turn the sound down if they do!! ;)
