Long-lost pics from the Memorial Day weekend fire #96 (pic heavy)

These came from my small Canon (most of the others, so far, are from my Nikon D-70).


Thirty minutes after the smoke first puffed up.


A few minutes later (individual tree torching observed).


Spot fire jumps ahead of main fire. I notify Fire 96 commander of the change in situation.


The smoke lays low in the evening.

B) the expression: Dad, I am NOT tickled pink about this living arrangement, but if it means that much to you, I WILL put up with you. I loves you that much!

Such an intelligent, expressive face. But then, he had a good teacher when he was young, didn't he.

Snow or sand are good backgrounds. So are reddish sleeping bags!

13. Those stairs!

They wear me out just looking at them. How does Nick handle them? I had a hard time teaching my pug to go up and down the porch steps and there are only a few!

15. Following your journal updates and enjoying. More news about Nick

and how he's adapting, please! I read you took him off the pills that tranquilized him from the electric storms...but how are you dealing with his biological needs. You've got the new toilet set up for your emergencies, but how are you dealing with Nick's daily needs? Do you use a litter box for his waste overnight...and how do you deal with him urinating...if it's not convenient to "walk him" given your duties and the many steps down and up the tower.

It's a pet interest angle that would be interesting to hear about. Especially since so many of us are traveling with our pets these days because of economic reasons and sometimes having to live in "outside spaces" with them because of life choices and hard times.
