remain so.
How does a pharmaceutical company cover the costs of research and what is the incentive to do research if there is no profit in it?
What motive does a physician have to open a clinic if the costs are not covered including the salaries of the workers?
Basically the answer to those questions is that the cost is passed on to the tax payer and the research and the clinic are done and operated by government employees.

It isn't very healthy and there is precious little caring going on; and like all industries it is arranged to maximize profit at the expense of patient 'care'.
You have really insulted a whole lot of people who chose their profession out of the desire to do some good for people. I have never met an RN who would agree with you and I use to be a controller of a medical clinic. I myself was surprised by the motivation of the people who worked there.
