Poll question: When Keith Snorted Daddy
Presuming Keith Richards actually did mix a bit of good old dad's cremated ashes with some blow and then snorted it up:

1. Even when he was a kid, Keith's relatives all said he had his father's nose.
I don't know what happened exactly with the snort story. I'm just looking forward to seeing Keith in the third PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN film.

2. IMHO Keith's story's not true, he just wanted to fuck over Disney.
From now on this shitty movie will forever be attached to the K.R. "snorting his Dad" tale.

6. Yeah right, he has a 5 minute cameo in one of the biggest
film trilogies of all time and you think this is going to affect it?

3. Snorting human ashes is the least of his problems
The man is a walking, talking sea monkey.

5. I told my dad about that story when I talked to him on the phone tonight
and he said if I ever tried to snort his ashes, he'd come back from the dead and kick my ass all across Hell and half of Georgia. :)

7. Cremains aren't exactly snortable.
He fished, and Reuters bit.

9. I think he said he ground them up!
It was an amusing story, though unlike Ozzy's antics, I reckoned that it wasn't true.

8. I think the question here should be
was Keith's dad as big a stoner as Keith? I imagine with 40 years of hardcore drug use behind him, snorting Keith's ashes would give you a hell of a buzz.

11. All I could think about was back when we sent my dad's ashes to the
ocean - EEEEEUUUUWWWWWW!!!

Good God! I hope Keith wills his body to science when he finally goes. He could fill several textbooks.

12. Is this destined to be another urban myth?

This never happened, Richards was fucking with them. I can understand the confusion though, the man is barely understandable on the best of days.

13. Wasn't there a similar story a couple of years back?
Now I can't remember if it was just a joke, or an actual story of some really stupid thieves.

It went something like a group of thieves broke into a house and ended up snorting a dead dog's cremains, thinking it was something snortable.

But when I heard the Keith Richards story, my mind snapped to this and I was immediately suspicious Keith was just pulling their leg.

14. As the late Rick James so famously said on the Chappelle show
"COCAINE IS A HELL OF A DRUG!!"

Remember how crazy Rick James was at the party. I think Keith has looked like living death for years and am amazed he has not OD yet.

Rick James on his death.
The coroner's office officially ruled James' Aug. 6 death "accidental," but also noted that no fewer than nine drugs were found in his system, including methamphetamine and cocaine.
