I agree with John Kyl (R), Arizona.
"Nothing should come between the physician and the patient."

Let's get the INSURANCE COMPANIES and PROFITS out from between me and my physician!

Then, of course, he goes on to claim that (evil) gov't beaurocrats will interfere.
Fear mongoring from the right on Ed's Psycho Talk. Will Americans buy into the fear or realize that for profit healthcare is just wrong and that healthcare is a RIGHT?

1. would you rather a government health agent or an insurance agent go between?
I knew someone who was employed as a government health advocate (not the title, but close) in Holland. His job was to find THE BEST CARE, not to deny care.

2. I hate to agree with him too much...
But, Obama, in a health forum, mentioned the concept of an independent council (or something) to ration health care, as an example, to seniors (judged near end of their life).

These sorts of pitfalls the Democrats are creating are merely feeding these talking points. Public insurance doesn't need to replace private insurances bureaucratic assholes.

Public insurance should pre-approve all billable procedures, and let the patients and doctors best figure it out.

4. If you don't want any gov't bureaucrats between you and your doctor

Then don't put any there!

Single-payer means NOBODY is between you and your doctor!
