so many posts (over the course of a year) disparage DU

I'd like to take this opportunity to cheerlead for it. I started coming here right after 9/11. While I've taken extended breaks - as every well-balanced individual should - I have not been able to stay away long. The rules have changed A LOT since 2001 and I don't agree with all of them. But, I think given the sheer volume of posters and topics, the mods and admins of this site do a fantastic job and are deserving of my gratitude. i'm extremely thankful this site is here. Anybody else?

2. Amen! Hate the posters, not the site!!

Nothing pisses me off worse than threads that act as if "DU" is the Borg, with all units acting in unison on any topic. "DU has become (the outrage of the day)!"

DU is a place where opininated people express their opinions, and the battle lines on every topic are as predictable as the poutrage they're full of.
