Neo-Nazis are in the Army now
--snip--

The lax regulations have also opened the military's doors to neo-Nazis, white supremacists and gang members — with drastic consequences. Some neo-Nazis have been charged with crimes inside the military, and others have been linked to recruitment efforts for the white right. A recent Department of Homeland Security report, "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," stated: "The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today." Many white supremacists join the Army to secure training for, as they see it, a future domestic race war. Others claim to be shooting Iraqis not to pursue the military's strategic goals but because killing "hajjis" is their duty as white militants.

1. DOJ seems aware of it
Gang Members in the Military

Members of nearly every major street gang as well as some prison gangs and OMGs have been identified on both domestic and international military installations. Deployments have resulted in gang members among service members and/or dependents on or near overseas bases. Additionally, military transfers have resulted in gang members, both service members and dependents/relatives, moving to new areas and establishing a gang presence.

Gang members with military training pose a unique threat to law enforcement personnel because of the distinctive military skills that they possess and their willingness to teach these skills to fellow gang members. While the number of gang members trained by the military is unknown, the threat that they pose to law enforcement is potentially significant, particularly if gang members trained in weapons, tactics, and planning pass this instruction on to other gang members. (See Table 1.) In addition, gang members currently serving in the military sometimes take advantage of their positions to engage in criminal activities such as trafficking weapons and drugs.

7. Can you keep people out for ideology and associations?
Should Michael Corleone have been refused by the Marines?

8. One, Michael Corleone is a fictional character
Two, I'd trust a mafia guy over a gangbanger or a Neo-Nazi any day.

9. Did the Corleones believe that Sicilians were superior to others, and...
.... that they had to form a paramilitary organization to protect themselves, their families, and their interests?

And I will ignore your hateful "fictional character" remark. I mean, really, how mean can you be? The next thing you'll say is that Vulcans aren't here observing us.

13. It's not "late" if hardly anyone is aware of it
It's so good to see the military suffering to this degree that they can't find enough suckers who want to go kill innocent families for corporate profits that they have to resort to "hiring" Nazi scum.

3. I saw this on Dan Rather reports a year ago.
Street Gangs in the military cause the military is desperate to recruit. Then they showed a gang member using military tactics to kill cops on this surveilance camera.

4. Old news.........
I represented a neo-Nazi who had enlisted - a sordid and strange story - in the Army in 1978 and later deserted. He was my client in 1979, and there were a lot of his kind in the Army then, I was told by my JAG colleagues.

Nothing new here...............
