Palin...U.S. Military women and men putting their lives .....

"U.S. Military women and men putting their lives on the line for us to secure America's Right to Free Speech"

Funny how once not so long ago the pukes where the party trying everything to take away our rights to free speech and lawful assembly to demonstrate government issues, remember the free speech zone during presidential visits.....I guess when it gets personal then they have a change of heart.

Sarah....the military is there to protect us from attack....PERIOD!

1. oddly enough,
members of the military DO take an oath to protect the Constitution. As far as I remember, they do not take an oath to protect the American people from attack. But Palin's a stupid twit, anyways.

2. You're right
"...swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. "

The part about obeying the president has the requirement that the orders must be in line with regulations and the UCMJ. Those who participated in the torture of detainees could not do so legally, because it was a violation of the UCMJ.

But I swore to defend the Constitution, did it 4 times and still believe in the oath I took.
