Palin is so big on "abstinence" for teens I think it's fair game to ask her...
1) Did you have sex as a teenager?
2) Did you use birth control? If yes to 1 & 2 why are you such a zelot regarding the issue today?
3) Did you discuss sex with your daughter and make her aware that while you would prefer she didn't that the tempations are there and discuss birth control with her to AVOID PREGNANCY?

1. Or...If you can't promote adherence to a policy under your own roof, how can you control policy
directed at Russia, Pakistan, China, Saudi Arabia, Israel, et al?

3. Parents can do all of these things and the teen may still not listen.
That doesn't make the parent a hypocrite. Lots of teens smoke, drink or do drugs, in spite of parents discussing/telling them not to. Doesn't make the parent a hypocrite.

6. Ineffective Parenting
It doesn't make the parent a hypocrite, but it can call into question the person's effectiveness as a parent.

And Palin has a lot of nerve to be giving advice to anyone in my opinion.

7. As a parent, I would like to claim some semblance of "effectiveness",
but my kids don't always listen or do what I tell them to do. Doesn't make me a hypocrite though.

4. She herself got preggers outside of marriage... so the answer to #1 is yes.
