If someone was that offended by the joke, then simply don't watch Letterman any more. Or, if you so desire, write the sponsors of the show and/or the show itself expressing your disgust.

But a protest?! Really?!

A distasteful joke certainly doesn't merit a three ring circus. It's all phony, manufactured outrage. I guess some people don't have anything better to do with their lives. Of all the things to protest, a late night comedian doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

The same ones clutching their pearls over the Letterman joke are likely the same ones that gleefully passed along Chelsea Clinton jokes back in the nineties.

I just don't get the fascination with Palin. Republicans make fun of Obama for using a teleprompter, but go gaga for someone that can't even handle a puff piece interview with Katie Couric sans scripted answers.

I wish that Joe not a Plumber would take Palin with him to the black hole of obscurity. Republicans are done if a dingbat like Palin is their party's best hope.
