I'm not condoning Dave Letterman's bad joke (I don't even watch him) but...That's strange. I've never heard Rush apologize for all the bad form he's made throughout the years. Remember "Hitlery", "feminazi" and how ugly he said Chelsea Clinton was? And the GOPs little "Barack the Magic Negro" song? Righteous indignation indeed. I'm sorry but it makes me mad. There are two sides to every coin.

I was cornered by two conservative co-workers last week about all this and I'm still mad about it. I couldn't believe them. They cornered me because they know I am liberal and know I worked for the Obama campaign.

I think he just hit a nerve with Palin. When Palin's daughter got pregnant, it was almost advanced with this whole "Juno" fanfare. When the guy didn't stick around, it made her look bad and really, really pissed her off. So Letterman opened up a can of worms that was pretty personal, whether or not his joke was appropriate is somewhat separate from that fact.

Since when does a respectable public figure refuse to accept an apology from a comedian who admits he made a error? Oh, that's right, Sarah Palin is no regular person, she's a media whore, who is deliberately dragging her kids around for her own political reasons. She does represent everything that's wrong with America and her 18-year old daughter Bristol is a legitimate target since she has been promoting an 'abstinence only' campaign. Palin has no conscience in regards to her blatant ignorance, superstitious beliefs, and willingness to thrust herself into positions of great public responsibility which would endanger the entire nation and the world. I'm tired of anyone defending her.

and I agree... the hypocrisy is stifling. I mean, all the crap that palin spewed, and she wasn't friggin joking!! during the campaign. pallin around with terrorists and all the other bs lies. Inciting the crazy people in her crowds. But where was the apology about that!! I didn't see the show in question. I only heard about it... didn't even see the joke in question. No one replayed it. Which is odd, in my opinion, because any other questionable thing they replay over and over. But this one must have been bad enough I never heard the actual joke in question.
