Hey guys, check it out! Thanks to a rather boneheaded, insensitive, crude joke made by David Letterman, some of the Alaska governor's harshest critics have suspended the Great Debate--whether she's as corrupt as the day is long, too incompetent to fulfill the duties of the office of dogcatcher, or both--and started actually defending her. Just when you thought shit couldn't get any weirder...

For the record: if she'd get out of politics and go back to chasing her dream job--sportscaster, which she'd be good at--I'd like her just fine. That some of the worst religious extremists in America are seriously discussing the possibility of trying to get her installed in the Oval Office scares the living shit out of me.

Just about anything on television would work. She's got a pleasant-enough face. She LIKES doing television. It pays decent, and if she was in front of a camera five days a week she couldn't be out there fucking up everyone else's life.
