Help us Prevent a War in Iran!
Ok, so I know I may have asked some of y'all to help me with this before, but I am asking you again now because this truly matters to me and it didn't get many (any?) responses the last time I asked for help.

PLEASE visit the website below, sign one or more of the petitions there, send a letter to the editor, do whatever you can and help us try to prevent another war in the Middle East. It doesn't take long, it doesn' require much effort, but if we are able to get enough signatures perhaps it can be used as a tool by our congress to help prevent the Bush admin from another war in our name.

Please help, and please forward this link to as many people as you can.

1. I've been working on this issue with a couple of local groups. Do you know . . .
The Webb/Byrd amendment (prohibiting the use of funds for military action in or related to Iran) to the supplemental appropriations that just went into conference committee is, according to Thomas, still in order. Does that mean that the Webb/Byrd amendment will still be there for debate once the conference version of the bill makes it out of the conference committee? Or is that something that is decided in the conference committee since it is supposed to reconcile the House version (that doesn't have the restricting amendment) with the Senate version (that does still have the restricting amendment)?

2. I really am not sure...
My assumption would be that it would have to wait to be reconciled with the House version, but I am not exactly an expert when it comes to such things.

Anyone else know for sure?
