8. Neither did Dean.
He was pretty outspoken.

4. I like Dean, but I am not liking his prescription for "fixing" this
Edited on Mon Jun-15-09 09:00 PM by Not Me
He says Obama is going to have to do something...like maybe move Don't Ask Don't tell up in his agenda.

It came off so much as though Obama's got to throw those gays a bone. *Something* *Anything*

No. What he needs to do is move on his promise to repeal this offensive, unconstitutional law.

7. I saw it. You are twisting his whole intent.
And that is a shame. He is about the only damn Democrat standing for anyone right now.

I heard the part about DADT but it was not intended that way.

He was critical of the Obama admin. and said they need to do some homework about it...not his exact words but the gist of it.

No wonder one no one in the party speaks out. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

9. Oh, I agree...Dean was very disappointed in the administration's brief
but what I heard was that now Obama has to do something to make up for it.
And the only thing offered up was moving DADT forward sooner.

11. IT WOULD BE WRONG TO STAY SILENT
If he didn't know about the brief before, he probably does now, so:
IT WOULD BE WRONG TO STAY SILENT
Time to face the issue. Condemn the legal brief, apologize, and make it right!

It would be wrong to take no action.
It is time to go to Congress and be a "fierce" advocate right now.
And make them repeal DOMA and DADT right now.
