2. I would ask where a candidate stands on the issues before I called him a "progressive"

Is he pro-choice? Where does he stand on the economy? Where does he stand on the environment? Education? Health? Etc.

I'm sure that next to Ahmadinejad he would look progressive. But few wouldn't.
